Woking School Foundation

During the 1993/94 school year, the parents of Woking School established the Woking School Foundation.  The objectives for which the Foundation was established are:

  1. To solicit and collect funds;
  2. To administer such funds as may be donated to the Foundation for educational purposes deemed necessary by the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the enhancement of education in the Woking School
  3. To sell, manage, lease, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the Foundation;
  4. Distribute funds available to the Foundation for required needs.

 All persons over the age of eighteen years making a financial donation to the Foundation are considered members.  The Foundation is allowed to issue taxable receipts through Revenue Canada.  The Foundation is funded primarily through working at the Casino in Grande Prairie, as well as through private donations.

A Board of Directors governs the Woking School Foundation, which consists of seven directors elected at large by the membership in attendance at a general meeting. The principal, or designate, of the Woking School is a director Ex Officio.
